Danish duo the Raveonettes released their sixth album, 'Observator', in October of last year The Raveonettes consists of Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo, both who play guitars and share vocals. Their music combines a 50's rock 'n' roll sound with Jesus and Mary discordance. 'Observator' follows on from 'Whip It On' (2003), 'Chain Gang of Love' (2003), 'Pretty in Black'(2005) , 'Lust, Lust, Lust'(2007) and 'In and Out of Control' (2012). Co-produced by Richard Gottehrer (Blondie, Richard Hell , The Go-Go's, Link Wray) and Sune Rose Wagner, 'Observator' was written by Wagner after he travelled to Los Angeles for inspiration. He ended up going on a three day bender as a result of the depression that he was suffering from because of a back injury, and the songs on the album are inspired by his observations of the people he met during this time. These photographs were taken by Marie Hazelwood at a Raveonettes gig to promote 'Observator' at Erics in Liverpool on the 5th December
