Libertines - Photoscapes

intro
Steev Burgess provides photographs of an unusual Libertines gig at the bandstand in Margate.
Ever since the Libertines bought a run down B&B in Margate and converted it into a boutique hotel and studio, the temptation of playing at the run down bandstand must have had a strong pull. The band have a penchant for playing small, barely announced dates but very few if any ot bandhers will have gone from Wembley Arena to a seaside bandstand within a month. Donating raffle items for its refurbishment back in January 2021 was the first step, and the inevitable gig took place at 4 p.m. on Wednesday 17th August. The matinee was advertised just 24 hours before the event, but the fine hunred tickets were snapped up immediately.
