John Hassall is the bassist in The Libertines, and also fronts his own band The April Rainers. These photos of him were taken by Mark Roberts at a rare acoustic solo gig for Hassall, which organised by Pennyblack writer Steev Burgess and photographer Amanda J Window, took place at The Green Room in Altrincham on the 2nd May.
