Since his early days with The Smiths in the 1980s, Morrissey has long been a controversial figure with his pro vegan/anti-animal cruelty stance and verbal attacks on the monarchy. Despite being now based in Los Angeles for over twenty years, his more recent endorsement of Far Right and Reform leader Nigel Farage and views against UK immigration have lost him the support of some of his most hardcore of fans. These photographs of Morrissey, which were taken by Andrew Twambley at a homecoming gig at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on the 7th June capture much of his continued charisma and allure.
