Keith Ainsworth photographs Kentucky rockers Cage the Elephant at a show at the Alberts Hall in Manchester

Kentucky-formed group Cage the Elephant have recently received a Grammy nomination in the ‘Best Rock Album’ category for their latest album ‘Tell Me I’m Pretty’, which was produced by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. The band, whose music combines together elements of alternative rock, funk, garage rock, blues and psychedelia, have released four albums to date, 'Cage the Elephant' (2008), 'Thank You, Happy Birthday' (2011), 'Melophobia' (2013) and 2015's 'Tell Me I'm Yours'. The current line-up of Matthew Shultz (lead vocals, guitar), Brad Shultz (rhythm guitar, keyboards), Daniel Tichenor (bass guitar, backing vocals and Jared Champion (drums, percussion) recently played four dates in the UK. These photographs of Cage the Elephant were taken at a gig by Keith Ainsworth on a gig on that tour on the 19th January at the Manchester Albert Halls.
