intro
Riotous and infectious latest EP from German-based hardcore electronic duo, Mouse On Mars
It appears as if, after teaming up with Mark E. Smith a few years ago, that Mouse On Mars have become infected, if not infested in an incurable way. Their latest EP features zany, loud and simply wild excursions into an unknown realm. I could of course be on the brink of going mental, but this Mouse On Mars EP begs for some riotous verbal confrontation. Five in-your-face tracks with the sort of impact that seems impolite in 2014 comprise this showcase of electronic heft. Rebellious in the same sense as A Homeboy, A Hippy and A Funky Dredd once were, Mouse on Mars have with 'Spezmodia' constructed highly affectionate dance tunes which loop inside one's brain. Buzzing around the beehive of dance music, Mouse On Mars have in the mean time invented a new dance, the 'Migmy'. It borrows the rocking jizz punchline from 'Surfin' Bird' - perhaps in reply to Neil Landstrumm’s cover version of a few years ago.
