intro
Our Website of the Month is Mel Preston Photography, the website of a Sheffield-based photographer
I am back, again. I know, I know. I pop in and out more than a "insert innuendo here", but as far as I know there will be no more bits of me being sliced and diced any time soon, so normal service is resumed. I thought this month I would follow John's lead from last month and bring you a Website of the Month that belongs to a friend of mine (and sometimes PBM photographer), Mel Preston's photography site at www.melprestonphotography.com The site provides a comprehensive overview of the work Mel has done and opportunities to browse and purchase her work. Mel writes a blog about the projects she is under taking and there is also a link to her Zazzle and Redbubble shops which features everything from t-shirts to trainers branded with her own unique images. The site is clean, well labelled and very easy to navigate. Mel is very talented. I know this for a fact because, not only has she done some fabulous sets of photos of my children, she has even taken photos of me which don't reduce me to a weeping neurotic wreak of self loathing. One of them I even put in a frame. My therapist says I am making progress. Mel really has the eye for a good image and the ability to remain calm, cool and collected, pulling fabulous shots no matter how difficult the subject. Children and musicians are equally difficult to capture. Neither group are renowned for their cooperative natures but Mel manages it just the same. Have I convinced you yet then? Go look, you know you want too. While you're there, it is my birthday this month and I REALLY want this t-shirt at www.redbubble.com/products/configure/3696025-t-shirt.
