Melodic, but monotonous mini debut album from young British folk singer and songwriter, Will Hanson
'Hope On Top' is a debut mini album of raw, unbalanced folk with a bit of a twist. Will Hanson has a gift of melody, but, in a few songs his youthful exuberance stands on the verge of turning to popular pathos, if not self pity. 'Watching You Fade' and 'We Don't Live In Sitcoms' are reasonably original songs, yet most others sound rather similar and all too familiar.
