intro
Inventive-sounding pop on quicly released second album from Cumbria-formed indie guitar group, Wild Beasts
Wild Beasts' second album, 'Two Dancers', offers not much of a change from their debut, but is still an improvement, 'Two Dancers' showcases inventive pop that will sell less copies than Arctic Monkeys do, yet Wild Beasts fully deserve to be on the Domino label. Singer Hayden Thorpe has a voice that Chris Martin will be envious of, plus Wild Beasts' songs are actually based on melody unlike Coldplay's melodic noodlings. Wild Beasts are a very talented bunch, and this is already their second album in just a year and a half. Give Wild Beasts the time to embrace the praises for these two albums, plus sufficient time to select the tracks for the inclusion of their third album. 'Two Dancers' fails to reach the status of a genuine classic, like their debut, 'Limbo, Panto', did, but there are plenty of tracks you'll enjoy. The Wild Beasts's mixture of twang and sensitivity is one of a unique brand.
