intro
Infectious remixes of 'Staccato Rave', one of the tracks from techno duo Slam's 'Human Response' album , which maintain but also build on from the appeal of the original
With their infectuous techno sounds, the (in-)famous couple of Glasgow's Soma Records label honchos once again invade the dancefloor masquerading as Slam! Much to everyone's delight, Slam culled 'Staccato Rave' off their 2007 album 'Human Response' and asked Adam Beyer and Silicone Soul in for remixes of the track. Surprise, surprise! The original version hasn't lost any of its initial appeal. On the Adam Beyer remix no time is wasted as the anthemic quality of 'Staccato Rave' superbly melts with the beats from moment one onwards. Still no harm done to the original. The real treats, however, then come from the mighty Silicone Soul. Descriptions such as "lashings of fun" and "brain melting matter" aptly come to hand now. First on side B is their Darkroom Dub mix, yet the one to go for is the Hypno Dub mix. The groove now sticks like candy does to a busy bee.
