A midnight marauder in the universe of house music, Slam shapes up for beach parties in summer with his new single 'Azure'. With smooth perfection, Slam rides a gentle rhythm on 'Azure'. Part One of 'Azure' builds up a magnificent sense of suspense from classic Kraftwerk tones, which has been sped up to appear in bursts with lovely bubbles of keyboard sounds. In the process of wobbling about in this grand manner, Slam's 'Azure' goes full circle. The long length of this track is just information, not an experience in time. Part Two digs much deeper and works like a repetition of moves at first, yet evolves into this little addictive slammer where minimalism provides maximum measure.
