Our Website of the Month is Punk FM, an online radio station dedicated to punk rock music from the years 1976 - 1979
Punk FM www.punkfm.co.uk is a 24-hour internet radio station dedicated to punk rock music from the years 1976 - 1979. Describing itself as "the first and only punk rock internet station", all the major punk and new wave acts of the era - the Sex Pistols, the Clash, the Damned, the Stranglers, the Jam, John Cooper Clarke - appear regularly on its schedules. What gives it a real edge is that it, however, counterbalances this by also focusing on its playlists on many of the lesser known bands of the time. We have been listening to it a lot at Pennyblackmusic's main offices, and have unveiled to us forgotten classics by bands such as the Drones, the Cardiacs Honey Bane and the Nasal Boys. There are Amazon links to everything that it plays, and links to other punk and new wave sites. Punk FM both plays round-the-clock great music, and is also one of the most important and authoritative punk resources on the internet.
