intro
Our writer Anthony Strutt, who is ill with cancer, is trying to raise £5,000 for charity
Our writer Anthony Strutt is terminally ill with cancer. London-born and now Leicester-based Anthony, who is 53, was diagnosed with T4 prostate cancer in October last year three months after getting married. The cancer has spread across to his kidneys, pelvis and over ninety percent of his prostrate. Anthony is one of our longest-serving writers at Pennyblackmusic. He first began writing for us in 2000 and has contributed during the last fifteen years over 1,500 articles to our site. He is a close friend to several of us as well as a colleague. While his health is relatively stable at the moment, the long-term prognosis is unfortunately not good. It is typical of Anthony’s generosity of spirit that he is attempting to “give something back to the doctors and nurses that are supporting me.” He is currently trying to raise £5,000 through Crowdfunding for his local Leicester hospital, and “to support the further work towards the ending of cancer and all its effects.” Anthony Strutt’s Crowdfunding profile can be found here: https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/anthony-strutt If you would like to support Anthony in doing this, we know that he would be grateful.
