intro
Blistering but clichéd stoner rock/old school heavy metal on debut album from Leeds-based band, Pseudonympho
From the excellently named Bunnysnot label come these heavy metal slags, with their thunderous wah wah guitar riffs in the basket. Without a single sense of irony though, except of course for in the band's name, Pseudonympho rush through a set of bolt-throwing tracks. Now and then playing tricks on the clichéd ear, their hammering chords turn psychotic. Very much in a rush, Pseudonympho keep the momentum, even when the mayhem derails on 'Big Enough for Rehab'. The album does eventually wander off, not until the storm has settled in though. Moving rapidly towards poppy blues rock towards the end of the album, such as on 'Matryoshka', Pseudonympho are a blistering phenomenon within their restricted world. This album tends to drift along the rivers of stoner/old school heavy metal but Pseudonympho's saviour remains still for the finding.
