intro
Our Website of the Month is 'Waller Not Weller', personal music website and blogspot of Pennyblackmusic writer Paul Waller
'Waller Not Weller' http://wallernotweller.wordpress.com is the personal music website and blogspot of Pennyblackmusic writer Paul Waller. Paul, who is originally from Frankel, Victoria but who has lived in Britain since he was a child, describes himself as an "organic food loving 80's obsessed music journo from Australia." He has a long history with music and has been the singer in two hardcore bands, Babies Three and The Boss. Paul also ran a record label at one point, and put on 112 shows for bands in his native Margate and Canterbury area. Paul is currently writing about his favourite LPs and singles from the 1980's, which he describes as a "huge task" and, still only a fifth of the way through, so far has taken him two and a half years. Extracts from his book, which focus on the years 1983 to 1989, are published on 'Waller Not Weller'. Paul is also a talented photographer and artist, and there are links to photographs he has taken at gigs as well as to his paintings and other artist work. 'Waller Not Weller' features a back archive of all the interviews that he has done for Pennyblackmusic in the three years he has been writing for Pennyblack and also some other interviews he has done with various 1980's personalities for his book. It also features various live, album and single reviews, many beyond Pennyblackmusic, that he has written over the years.
