intro

Overstated progressive rock on debut album from Portland, Oregon-based duo, AU

Animal Collective meets U2. That's AU to me and you, who are bombastic in sound Best though is to let these sounds run free and judge for these yourself. I am a snob critic and chances are your toes do not cringe the way mine do. With their elaborated choruses, it is if progressive rock never died a painful death with punk. AU, however, persevere without shame. Jubilent on 'Why I Must', the concise brass arrangement and the skiddy rhythms make you long for an uncompromising EP on Pickled Egg!
