Frantic post-rock on beautifully structured debut EP from Italian trio, Dogs For Breakfast

These frantic Italians with a keen ear for emo metal lash out bursts and bolts onto their unsuspecting listeners. Screeching ferocity appears first of all on 'The Beginning' which cues well for some snare noodlings. This is only meant as an intermezzo to pave the path for the streamlined mayhem of 'Blood River'. 'Your God is Gone' takes that concept even further. Just five tracks of deeply religious undertones comprise 'Rosa Lane was Tucker's Girlfriend'. Never mind that English is their second language. It is mine too as a matter of fact. The often beautifully structured racket of noise well compensates.
