AFI and Sick of It All are both leading acts on the American hardcore scene. Sick of It All formed in Queens, New York in 1986 and AFI (A Fire Inside) in California in 1991. Both bands have a reputation for having a hard work ethic and AFI have released eight albums, the latest of which was last year's 'Crash Love', and Sick of It All nine, including 'Based on a True Story' which is the first release of their new label Century Media Records and came out in April. AFI and Sick of It All recently played a six date UK tour together. These photographs, the top three of AFI, the bottom three of Sick of It All, were taken on the first night of that tour on April 5th by Alan Taylor-Shearer at Nottingham Rock City. More of Alan's photographs of both groups can be found in Pennyblackmusic's picture galleries on the front page of the site.
