The Gaslight Anthem released their second album, ‘The ’59 Sound’, in August of last year and have toured constantly since it came out. The group, who come from New Brunswick in New jersey, incorporate together elements of punk, 50s rock 'n' roll, soul and heavy rock into their sound. Bruce Springsteen is also another especially strong influence. Their debut album, ‘Sink or Swim’, came out on XOXO Records in May 2007. The ’59 Sound’ was produced by punk producer Ted Hutt (The Bouncing Souls, Flogging Molly) and came out on Side One Dummy Records. It features guest appearances from Hot Water Music’s Chris Wollard and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones’ Dicky Barrett. Since the release of ‘The ’59 Sound’ the Gaslight Anthem have played two British tours in quick succession. These photographs of vocalist and guitarist Brian Fallon were taken on the 7th February by Katie Anderson at a show at the Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms
