intro
Fantastic twee pop on debut single from new Welsh eight piece the School, which features members of the Loves and the Boy Least Likely To
The School hail from Wales and are an eight piece, featuring members of the Loves and the Boy Least Likely To. 'All I Wanna Do' starts with drums which recalls those of the Jesus and Mary Chain's 'Just Like Honey' before lush arrangements kicks in and a sugary sweet vocal from singer Liz drips in best twee fashion all over it. This is definitely the best twee record of the year to date, a song to fall in love with to someone or just with yourself. 'Valentine' on the flip side has some swing style piano and, with its foot tapping beat, comes over like that stupid advert for Sheila's Wheels or the Pipettes. It is pure polka dot fun and classic pop.
