intro
First-rate 60's girl group-influenced new vinyl single from eight-piece Cardiff-based group, the School
This new single that follows two well received LPs (2010’s 'Loveless Unbeliever' and 2012’s 'Reading Too Much into Things Like Everything') has all the trademark twee 60’s indebted indie-pop that made those two LPs such a delight. Singer/songwriter Liz Hunt is on fine form on lead track 'When I Fall in Love' and she would certainly not have been out of place singing this on 'Ready Steady Go' alongside such clear influences as the Marvelettes or the Shirelles. B-side 'Just Let Me Be' is equally as good and benefits from Fran’s wonderful trumpet work that is reminiscent of those great C86 bands the June Brides and the Brilliant Corners. Looking forward to a 3rd LP
