Maximo Park - Maximo Park

intro

In the latest in our 'Photoscapes' photographic series, Katie Anderson shoots Maximo Park at a show at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth

One of the best known acts in Britain at the moment, Maximo Park have become a household name with their frenetic brand of leftfield indie rock. Maximo Park have released two bestselling albums both on Warp Records, 2005's 'A Certain Trigger'and this year's 'Our Earthly Pleasures'. The group, which formed in 200O, consists of hyperactive vocalist Paul Smith, and also guitarist Duncan Lloyd, bassist Archis Tiku, keyboardist Lukas Wooler and drummer Tom English. Photographer Katie Anderson has photographed Maximo Park before and says that she has found that the best way to shoor them is to keep her camera focused on the ultra-energetic Paul Smith the whole time. These photographs were taken exclusively for Pennyblackmusic at a show on Maximo Park's current tour at the Wedgewood Rooms on the 8th October.
