intro
Undistinguished, but very likeable acoustic folk on second album from International Airport, the moniker for Tom Crossley,one-time member of both the Pastels and the Television Personalities
At first I almost dismissed 'Reunion of Island Goose' as being neo-hippy but on second thought, I went back to the album and noticed the mention of campfires; the very word I wanted to build my review around. International Airport may be a truly silly name for an outfit which digs up good ol'memories from the heritage of the Pastels and Television Personalities. And yet, International Airport successfully deal with surreal subjects and make gentle, but weird songs. 'Reunion of Island Goose' hasn't sunk in and I think it never will. The feel to 'Reunion of Island Goose' is loose! The album knows of no flaws and keeps a nice pace with folk pop tracks for the experienced new acoustic devotee. To non-believers International Airport offers, however, little . The crisp production and the very humane idea, true love of music indeed, make up for an unsurprising sequence of introvert ballads. Very likeable, hardly essential.
