This is the latest offering from The New Bomb Turks since their switch to Epitaph in 1997. These lads have been together for something like a decade now, and they are easily the coolest band on that label. Regular fans of The New Bomb Turks won't be disappointed here, as there is more of the same fast, high-energy punk rock that we've come to expect from them . I think the thing that sets The New Bomb Turks apart from a lot of the other gritty punk rock bands around is how smart and full of wit their lyrics are. Ironically, I've read a couple of bad reviews of this album recently .I just don't get it. I love this record, I think that criticism stems from the fact that there are a couple of "slower" songs on this album than on their previous ones. These things are all relative though. They're only SLOW by New Bomb Turks standards. People complain that their albums are too similiar, and then the minute there's some variation, no one can handle it. C'mon, this is what we LOVE about The New Bomb Turks who are Columbus, Ohio's pride and joy. Well, if they're not, then that town is suffering from some serious dementia (Must be all the bad American beer those college kids are swillin'...) They need to go and see their homespun play live. That would cinch the deal. No matter, wish I had put this in my top 5 of 2000. Get this record ! Hurry !
