The nicest guy in dance is back with his new single 'Alice', the first from new album 'Last Night'. Featuring UK based underground rappers Aynzli and the 419 Squad, this is probably going to shock some of Moby’s newer fans post-'Play'. However, Moby’s embrace of hip-hop again proves he's a visionary and isn’t afraid to take chances. Aynzli’s gritty vocals set the mood of the very dark, let's say experimental side to the bald genius. It pleases me that Moby has gone for a more dancier edge, reminiscent of his earlier efforts when he was just a cult favourite among early 90's ravers. In my own opinion, Alice takes a little getting used to and is highly unlikely to end up in an advert for cars, mobiles, I Pods, home insurance and any other disposal capitalist by-products worth cashing in on. This is probably Moby’s most honest effort since the days of 'Animal Rights'.
