intro
Slightly disappointing debut album from the Good, the Bad and the Queen, the new band of Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz, Paul Simonon from the Clash and Simon Tong from the Verve
The is the debut album of Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz, Paul Simonon from the Clash and Simon Tong from the Verve's new supergroup, the Good, the Bad and the Queen If you like any of those bands you will probably want to hear it, but it is unlikely that you will like it as much as any of those groups and, unless you absolutely worship Damon Albarn, then you won't find it anywhere near as interesting as Blur or Gorillaz. It hints at times gone by with dubby beats and African drum patterns, while lyrically it is somewhat moody. Damon when playing live mainly sits behind a piano and seems to have has lost a lot of his energy and his boyish charm, which is what attracted a lot of the young crowd to him in the first place. One for hardcore fans only really.
