intro
Fragile and lilting second single from much acclaimed English folk group Tunng's second album,'Comments of the Inner Chorus'
'It’s Because…We’ve Got Hair' is such an apt title for this latest offering from Tunng, for it is hair or, more specifically, beards that are the first things that come to mind while playing this track. A track like 'It’s Because…' conjures up an image of folky folk sitting around in some commune-like, beard-stroking affair. Tunng might well get up to these kinds of antics, but they’re also capable of producing a fragile, lilting, lullaby-like acoustic gem like 'It’s Because…' that gently hypnotises while not really going anywhere in particular very quickly. But that’s just fine. English folk music has certainly experienced a resurgence over the last few years and Tunng are a more than welcome addition to the canon.
