Since forming in March 2005 Dartz have become renowned for their intelligent, spiky, angular pop. Initially formed as a joke with Henry (guitar) and Philip (drums/vocals) swopping their regular instruments. the Kingston-based trio, which also features William (bass/vocals), have been attracting increasingly favourable reviews since playing their first gig shortly after forming. Dartz recently released a single, 'St Petersburg', and have their twelve track debut album coming out early next year. They played their first 25 date headlining tour in September and October. These photographs were taken by Anna Gudaniec on the last night of the tour at the London Islington Academy on October 25th exclusively for Pennyblackmusic.
