intro
Surprisingly radio friendly new single from electronics wizard, Max Tundra
Yes, as unlikely as it may sound, this Max Tundra single starts of promising radio friendly material, but thank God, Tundra offers a surprise hook just when you felt this ditty may go happy empty go lucky. The melody gets lost somewhere down the line of the progress into fragile breakbeats and with slight screeches in the backdrops. It's not going to be a hit like the Flying Lizards. but finds its appeal with the same level of successful avant gardism. Intriguing fun. Unlike the filler B-side tracks, the single continues to amaze greatly. The minimilistic 'Souse!' offers a squirt of a composition, and then niftily follows this with the traditional piano composition of 'Our Syllabus'. Despite its 10 minute length, it is one of the most worthwhile 'moments' in time this year.
