Catfish and the Bottlemen are a young group from Llandudno in North Wales, which, consisting largely of childhood friends, formed two years ago. The group, a rock and roll band, which includes Van McCann (vocals and guitar), Billy Bibby (guitar), Benji Blakeway (bass) and Rob “Dr Bob” Hall (drums), have self-released two EPs and two singles. While they have drawn critical comparisons from enthusiastic journalists with the Libertines, the Strokes, the Arctic Monkeys and the Kooks, their own listening is centred around classic acts such as Van Morrison, Elvis Presley and Mark Knopfler. They have developed a reputation for constant touring and have played dates all over Britain, as well as in Ireland, Austria and Germany. These photographs of Cattlefish and the Bottlemen were taken by Marie Hazelwood on a location shoot in Liverpool.
