intro
Fabulous dance-driven latest single from British-based electronic duo, the Big Pink
British-based electronic duo the Big Pink are currently holed up in New York recording their debut album. 'Stop the World' is their third single, and, released on vinyl and download only, their second for 4AD. 'Stop the World' has an elegant and sweet vocal from Robbie Furze, and, sounding like a beats-driven version of My Bloody Valentine or the Jesus and Mary Chain, is a modern dance classic. 'Crushed Water', its B side, is very chilled out, and like a Slowdive number but slowed down to a crawl of a pace and minus the feedback and chaos. A Velvet Underground guitar number is added to this minimal-sounding song with perfect effect. Fabulous !
