intro

Experimental, but confusing punk rock on second album from Illinois-based trio, Scouts Honour

Scouts Honor confuse me somewhat, They blend many a different range of styles into what in a twisted way could be described as punk and I don't really know what to think. I must say It's definitely not my thing but, somehow, it still intrigues me. 'I Am the Dust' is a clever album with heapings of originality and thought but somehow it just misses the mark. With it's strangely quirky Western feel on such songs as 'The Sun Won't Set in the West' they create a versatile range of tunes and it is worth a listen, especially to those people who enjoy music of all diversities and is definitely worth a listen if you like bands such as Gogol Bordello, Alabama 3 and their peers. Perhaps not so much if you listen to a different side of punk...
