intro

Intriguing, eclectic compilation album telling of war torn England, which merges together Toots and the Maytals, Rod Stewart, Patti Smith and the Clash

It’s not often you find a soundtrack which follows Toots And The Maytals with Rod Stewart and Patti Smith with the Clash. 'The Way We Wore' does exactly that, telling the story of war torn England from Otis Redding to Spandau Ballet. Sceptical you may be but every track manages to glide seamlessly with the next offering an eclectic mix of soul, funk, punk and 80's cheese. Favourites include Georgie Fame with ‘Yeah Yeah’, ‘All The Young Dudes’ by Mott The Hoople, Bowie classic ‘Young Americans’ and Patti Smith's ‘Piss Factory’. Every song is a winner and this upbeat collection has something for everyone.
