intro

Uninspiring instrumental rock from San Francisco act Sleeping People which allegdly takes its cues from 70's prog rock in the mold of Yes and King Crimson

Sleeping People is a San Francisco based instrumental band that allegedly takes its cues from 70's progressive rock like Yes and King Crimson (there’s even a song called 'Fripp for Girls') and blends it with post rock. The first track, 'Blue Fly Green Fly', makes a quick switch from subdued and beautiful echoing picking to some rather standard prog-instrumental/post-rock. They speed things up on 'Nasty Portion', but it’s not much more exciting. Things do pick up a little with 'Nachos' – some interesting echoing guitar with real bite – but overall the album’s six songs only intermittently held my interest.

Track Listing:-
1 Blue Fly Green Fly
2 Nasty Portion
3 Fripp For Girls
4 Technically You...
5 Nachos
6 Johnny Depp
