intro
Flawed attempt at combining 1970’s style hard rock with disco tunes from the same era from the much hyped Do Me Bad Things
What's hideous? Well, to be honest , this track is. Just because The Darkness and the Scissor Sisters are cool doesn’t mean a band that combine the two will also be just as cool. In fact it is quite the opposite. In my opinion combining 1970’s style hard rock with 1970’s style disco tunes is a recipe for disaster and disjointed music, as aptly demonstrated in this single release from Do Me Bad Things. To be entirely fair there are some good bits to this record. There is a lovely 70's funk pop piano vocal harmony breakdown reminiscent of many 70’s American sit-coms, but this is soon ruined by the ridiculously over distorted guitar that comes in and proceeds to ruin the track again. Perhaps they are one of those illustrious “you have to see them live to get it” bands, but right now, I am wanting to do some bad things to this CD.
