Peerfect summery pop from German duo and new Matinee label signings the Happy Couple

The is the second EP from Greman duo he Happy Couple and as the name suggests this is a good record to listen to when you're happy and in love. Janehoney and Tom Hilverkus complement each other wonderfully with gentle vocals and bouncy guitar riffs. 'Another Sunny Day' is a bright, airy song and like the rest of the EP it will appeal greatly to fans of Belle and Sebastian and the Delgados. The guitar on 'Hopeless Case' reminds me a lot of early Beatles songs; it’s a very light and bouncy track. The Happy Couple creates the perfect sound track to summer days in the garden or on the beach.
