Firs formed in 2006, the Courteeners consists of Liam James Fray (guitar/vocals), Michael Campbell (drums/backing vocals), Daniel "Conan" Craig Moores (guitar), and Mark Joseph Cuppello (bass), all of whom have known each other since primary school. The group have become renowned for former Creative Writing student Fray's poetic lyrics, and their fiery but melodic sound. They have released three albums to date, 'St Jude' (2009), 'Falcon' (2010) and 'Anna' (2013).
