intro
Superb French-sung new single by former Black Box Recorder vocalist Sarah Nixey
‘Le Temps de L’Amour’ is the latest offering from former Black Box Recorder's front woman Sarah Nixey, whose old band had a brief reunion at the end of last year when they released a Christmas single on green vinyl. A cover of a song by Francoise Hardy, ‘Le Temps de L’Amour’ is sung in French and is delivered with all her usual fine elegance but, to be honest, she could sing the telephone directory and it would sound completely magical. The B side is another number sung in French, ‘Ici Avec Toi’, which means ‘When I'm Here With You’. A former single, it has a 1970’s sexy, cinematic sound. Sarah sounds on it very much a femme fatale. You would be prepared to do anything for some time with this woman. Lush and lovely !
