intro
Powerful latest single from Bjork which comes in five mixes
Bjork’s powerful latest single comes in five mixes. The opening ‘Radio Edit’ sounds like it could have come from her first album, ‘Debut’. It has a laid back vocal from Bjork, which is backed by lots of break beats and also the odd trumpet solo. ‘The Matthew Herbert Remix’ has bigger beats, and is more electronic-based, while Bjork's vocal has more echo on it. ‘The Mark Stent Remix’ recalls ‘Selmasongs’, the soundtrack to Bjork’s 1999 film, ‘Dancer in the Dark’, but has more trancey beats. ‘The Ratatat Mix’ rearranges the order of the song so that it sounds like a different song completely, while the fifth and final mix, ‘The Mark Stent Instrumental’, which is of course an instrumental, recalls ‘The Anchor Song’ from ‘Debut’.
