intro
Wacky new single from the ever eccentric Bjork, one of the few tracks on her new album to feature traditional instruments
'Who is It ?' is one of the few tracks on Bjork's last album that does actually feature traditional instruments. As she announced to her record label One Little Indian recently, "instruments are so over". Unique as it is, only Miss Bjork could get away with this style of track and make it sound so damn fresh. Sung in her wacky broken English accent she sounds like a lost child looking for a way in or out of Wonderland, but who has decided to stay for good. Bjork makes life a joy just by being there and releasing material quite unlike anyone else. A gem ! 'Oceania' is the song that she sung at and opened the recent Olympics with . I saw this while eating breakfast in Sydney recently and she made me cry, not for the first time. She is an absolute goddess. I have met her, and she is lovely and so is this track, which is quite classical in approach and in its folklore style. As beautiful as the lady that sings it.
