intro
Strictly-by-numbers new single from ever controversial hardcore rockers, Korn
When it comes to Korn I’ve realised something about myself. I’m the music fan equivalent of a battered wife. And how I have I come to this conclusion I hear you cry? Basically because no matter how much violence and abuse (to the ears) I’ve taken over the years. No matter how many times I’ve walked out on the bastard (As in swore I would never listen to that shit again) I have always managed take them back thinking everything is going to be fine now. They said they would change and he didn’t mean to hurt me (last album 'Take a Look in the Mirror'). Sure, my friends and loved ones hate him (Korn). Like an episode of chav soap-opera, 'Trisha', they lambast me in front of an audience on how stupid I am and how I always give him "my" money I’ve earned (As in bought their album). But I retaliate, that they don’t know him (Korn) like I do. It was good at the start (first self-titled album which is in my top five list) and that underneath the roughness (heavy down tuned guitars) he’s a sensitive being and just had a bad childhood (Er, just about every Korn song is about the singer Jonathan Davis’ horrible life even though he’s raking it in). But I’m finished with them. My man (Korn) is no good. This sounds like Korn by the numbers, like they just lost interest and are in it for the money. Ironically guitarist ‘Head’ quit the band during the summer to devote his life to Jesus and save people. Mr Head, please save me from this shit!!! Wonder when the new album’s out.
