This debut album with its infinite title really is an incredible piece of work from Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5 (or is that 25).Partly made possible by the 6th Dijon, (the fans) and Yellow Movement, the band's record label of which they are a part of, it is an early shout for album of the year. Funded in part by PledgeMusic, it is also available in a fetching gatefold sleeve on vinyl with cartoon strip artwork, while the CD is in a tin can. Opener 'How Many Many's are Too Many Many's' immediately name checks Jimmy Krankie, and from that moment on it is clear that parody is to feature heavily in what is absolutely brilliant set of songs which are delivered by the Colonel with gusto. There is narration from Peter Tatchell on the recent single and next track 'Gay Icon', which is based on John (the Colonel's) attention after an inadvertent visit to a gay club in the capital city. It also name checks Stephen Fry and Elton John. 'Dance Off' is a true piece of disco magic with a namecheck to pretty much every dance you could ever get down to and shake your ass to. It is, of course, a sing-a-long classic with clear participation required by the listener, and no doubt will work live as the Colonel on it tells us, "Minimalist dancing is all about the facial expression." 'Bouncy Ball' is reggae-infused and infectious, but not without the Colonel's hilarious take on another of his escapades. The album continues with 'Capturado' which has an intro explaining the song from another of the Dijons. It is about being engaged without escape by a really boring conversation, and is done in a Spaghetti Western style. The album continues with 'The International Sex Hero is Coming to the Rescue', another disco classic in the making, and the stand out 'Junkie Breakfast', a song about addiction to just about anything. It closes with the rather magnificent 'It Might Not Be The End Of The World (But It Always Ends in Tears with a Ginger Girl)', which make this a must own record.
