intro
Dreamy pop on new EP from Cambridge and London-based electronic trio, Hong Kong in the 60s
This four track EP results from an interactive guest list exchange. Invitations were sent out to the West Norwood Cassette Library, Psychological Strategy Boar, BLK TAG, Kemper Norton, the Doomed Bird of Providence, Isnaj Dui, Sone Institute and Hong Kong in the 60s. The troops were directed by Long Divisions with Remainders (LDwR), and Hong Kong in the 60s went upfront first. This EP is very much reminiscent if you're my age of a Zoo Records experience. Eerie organ playing, sketchy and dreamy vocals plus drum box electronica make you believe Lori and the Chameleons and The Teardrop Explodes finally got married. It is all done in perfect harmony, since the the third and fourth tracks, 'Banbury Grove' and 'The Clearing', are wonderful little instrumental excursions. Dreamscape pop music.
