intro
Stunningly beautiful debut single from Miss Omega, the nom de plume for reggae artist Elisa James
Post dubstep righteous roots reggae here. Studio Rockers are in the market for Studio 1 status with this one. Miss Omega is Elisa James, and please put aside all preconceptions you may have had for a release on Studio Rockers. In a perfectly ordered society this would be the 2011's autumn reggae number one single, if not #1 on the regular top 40. 'Know My Name' is an absolutely lovely song. Soulful, emotive, stunningly beautiful and gracefully relaxed. Sending shivers down your spine, Miss Omega's vocals are perfectly pure and sane. On the flip, Wookie's Lovestar remix hustles up the vibe, introducing Miss Omega with just vapours of her voice deep down in the mix. Wookie fulfills a neat job on the knobs. All credit to the A-Side with Elisa's impressive vocals. If this doesn't get played dozens and dozens of times, someone please blow up all BBC transmitters.
