intro
Fantastic multi-mixed debut single from Newislands, the current band of former Departure front man David Jones
'Out of Time' is the debut release from the new band fronted by David Jones, formely of the Departure. It is a complete change from his last two sounds, that of his work with the Departure and also his solo material, which saw nothing being released. 'Out of Time' appears here as a radio edit, the original being much longer. It has a very mid 80s retro way with slabs of keyboards and massive drums. As the mid 80s were a great time for me, it is for me like a trip down memory lane. 'Crosstown Feel' is the only other song here and again has a big time 80's sound that will have you dancing in no time at all. It is like Soft Cell, but with even more attitude. After this there are six remixes of 'Out of Time', which are decent but add little to the original, apart from the 'Serious Lover' remix which is sang as a duet. It sounds like a Duran, Duran 12" remix, which adds a little extra to the track.
