intro

Fast and thrashy indie rock on latest single by Mancurian band, the Answering Machine

Mancurian band the Answering Machine are the support group on the Manic Street Preachers' latest tour. 'Obviously Cold' is the second single from their forthcoming debut album which is due out in June. It is fast and thrashy and reminiscent of the Wedding Present song, 'Brassneck'. Singer, Martin Colclough, sounds like Undertones vocalist Feargal Sharkey, and it has enough hooks in it to hang a woman's complete wardrobe on. 'Lightbulbs' is a remix of an early Answering Machine by James Yuill and sounds like exactly that, a remix, but underneath there is a decent song that sounds very much like Bloc Party.

Track Listing:-
1 Obviously Cold
2 Lightbulbs (James Yuill Remix)
