Tunics - Somewhere in Somebody's Heart
Label: Manta Ray
Format: CD

intro

Well-marketed but unfortunately dull debut CD from the Tunics, which includes in its line-up membes of Tunng

The marketing strategy was a good idea. The promotional copy of the album was split over 6 CD singles but when you don't get all six, you are stuck with an amputated review copy. I expect, however. that The Tunics play power punkpop and were bred on Britpop porridge. It's not 1978 all over again. There's 'Shine On', not a cover of the song from House Of Love, yet amazingly similar to that 'Shine On' with its acoustic guitar cascade. 'A Winter's Tale', my favourite of the tracks available to me, shows more acoustic guitar chords but the electric guitar comes from a great break.

Track Listing:-
1 The Way It Is
2 Cost Of Living
3 Fade Out
4 Shine On
5 In The City
6 Whatever Happened
7 Waiting
8 Turn Away
9 A Winter's Tale
10 Do What You Did
11 Stay Young
12 Paris France
