intro
Catchy and irresistable first single in a year from London-based band outfit Hush the Many, which is being released on vinyl only
London-based Hush the Many release their first record since April last year, when they brought out ‘Song of a Page’ on Fierce Panda’s Label Fandango. And well worth the wait it was too (although not so long next time, please fellas!) New single ‘Revolve’ has got to be one of the best singles I’ve heard thus far in 2008. It’s got everything a great single should have: a catchy hook, brilliant vocal duets, a hammering rhythm section, a real feeling of atmosphere and depth and a cheeky false ending – what more can you bally well ask for? B-side ‘Storyend’ is a lot more subdued, but none the worse for it. Here’s my advice, if you’re feeling a bit stressed, run down, or anything like that; pop on your headphones, lie down on your bed, close your eyes, and stick this song on. If you don’t feel like you’re floating slightly above your sheets by the time the song end, call your GP. Hush the Many are an exciting band, and one to look out for both in record stores and your local live venue – they’re particularly brilliant live, by the way. Do yourself a favour and get this hot piece of vinyl property slapped into your record box, or else you may as well just give up on life altogether and blob out in front of the TV, because that’s essentially what you’ll be doing – letting yourself down.
