intro

Over-eclectic and messy-sounding art rock from Swedish singer-songwriter Dieter Schoon, which very quickly becomes too much of a good thing

Dieter Schoon is another one of those Swedes I have never heard of, but apparently he’s been around for quite some time, and when I listen to his debut album, 'LaBlaza', I instantly know why. This is the opposite of “easy listening”, and I’m completely lost already long before the first track, 'Manuel, is over. It sounds like a weird mix between Kraftwerk, David Bowie, Beck… well, I could go on. None of these artists or bands are bad, but when you mix them all together like this it’s a different story. For me, this is arty music in the very worst sense of the word.

Track Listing:-
1 Manuel
2 Mary Jane
3 Warm hearts
4 The harbours cold
5 Soft and slow
6 Hogface
7 Lots of free shoes but nowhere to run
8 I´ll go there
9 Everyone must leave
10 Auf Wiedersehn
