Appealing, largely instrumental third album from Guildford-based post rockers, Moly
'Hello, Shut Up' is the third album from Moly. It starts off with 'There Goes the Sun', which is like the Velvet Underground's 'Sunday Morning', but instead performed on a loop and instrumental. 'Time on My Own' is like a vocal version of the previous track, but with a more dramatic edge. It is relaxing although in a moody way. 'Violine' is more experimental and begins sounding like a lo-fi Bjork. It becomes more trippy and ends sounding like an edgy the Chameleons. 'The Holding Cell' has soft beat and vocal. It recalls Slowdive but without their distortion. 'This is All a Dream' is a distorted instrumental which sounds like Mojave 3 on downers experimenting with effect peddles. 'The Shadows Aspect' is as Gothic as it is title sounds and sounds like an instrumental film music soundtrack. 'The Last Night' sounds like a lighter iLiKETRAiNS, but without the vocals. 'Surrounded by 9s' is like a very moody Muse or Radiohead, but with a Cure quality to it. 'The Savage Parade' and 'One Million Tears' are both atmospheric and moody instrumentals, while 'No More Useless Killing', a bonus track, is sinister in tone and has a hard drumming rhythm.
